Bonnie Jeanne (Boyd) Skane
Bonnie Jeanne (Boyd) Skane was a vital member of Boyd & Boyd, P.C. from approximately 1985 through 2009. Bonnie worked as a paralegal, using her background in Finance to assist the firm with Trust Accountings and bookkeeping.
Born October 9, 1963, Bonnie grew up in Framingham. She graduated from Marian High School in 1981; she then received her bachelor’s degree from Providence College in 1985. That summer, Bonnie and her husband, Ed Skane, began their married life together. Motherhood was her defining focus and life’s legacy. Having lived in Southborough, Westborough, and Framingham, the Skane family moved to Cape Cod in 1995. While residing on Cape Cod, she was a member of the New Seabury Women’s Club.
After her diagnosis of Melanoma, Bonnie continued to work at the firm and raise her two boys, Matt and Jim. Eventually Matt would follow in his mother’s footsteps – working at Boyd & Boyd, P.C. as an associate attorney from 2014 – 2016.
Bonnie passed away on April 19th, 2009, following a courageous battle with cancer. Her lasting legacy is her loving family, friends, and the community by whom she will be deeply missed.
The family has established The Bonnie Skane Charitable Fund through The Cape Cod Foundation. Please consider making a donation in Bonnie’s memory. In the past, the fund has generally been the source of a scholarship to a student graduating from Mashpee High School.
